ROZBARK Theater has been operating in Bytom since 2014 and at that time already prepared over 20 premieres and marked its presence on the national dance map. In the post-industrial space of the former KWK Rozbark Hall, we produce dance performances, participate in international artistic projects, and develop educational and social activities for various audiences. We support independent artists by providing them space within the residence. In 2017, we were a co-organizer of the Polish Dance Platform - the most important dance event in Poland, as well as the National Culture Conference. With our performances, we visited the most important dance centers in Poland: Warsaw, Wrocław, Kraków, Lublin, Białystok, Poznań and many other cities. We have also performed in Germany, France, the Netherlands and Hungary.
Performances of the ROZBARK Theater were awarded with two Golden Masks - Awards of the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship, and also won prizes and distinctions at festivals. The INTEGRA Integrative Dance Theater also operates at the Theater, as part of which performances created by people with various degrees of disability are created. The 2018/2019 artistic season is the fifth, jubilee season of the Theater's activity and was titled "The Rose Hill / Hill of Moves", referring at the same time to the etymology of the word Rozbark (the district in which the Theater is located), as well as to our main means of expression, which is movement.
